Our Labor Day Weddings!

Over the Labor Day Holiday we were blessed with two weddings. Here is a peak at their pics!


Jessica & Phil McKenzie: September 2

It has been great getting to know this couple, they are a perfect match for each other. It really pulls at your heart strings watching Phil with his new step daughter, you can tell he absolutely adores her. They had an awesome reception at the Grand Ballroom that they filled with a lot of out of town guest that had traveled in for the wedding. This wedding was a hit!






Michal & Alex Antonuk: September 3
This couple has amazing commitment to each other. They dated for 6 years before getting married. Alex was in school to become an architect and Michal patiently waited for him to finish! So this wedding was a fantastic celebration. The ceremony was beautiful as well as the Bride and Groom, but our favorite part was the chocolate. All the guest were treated with Russian chocolates that were delicious! And I kid you not I think the whole town of Aurora attended to help the couple celebrate. This wedding was a great way to spend Labor Day!

Seniors, Seniors, Seniors!!!

It just seems like we've been getting some awesome seniors lately!! Dawn had a lot of fun with these two young ladies! For Dawn Seniors are like bridal session with a kick. Since seniors don't have wedding dresses on they can have a little more fun with the poses and places they go. Hope you enjoy the photos of Mary & Riley!

Christy & Gordon's Wedding

There were so many great things about the day; I don't even know where to start!!! Well, the wedding was BEAUTIFUL!!! It was the first wedding we've ever shot at the D'Monaco on Table Rock, and we think it was gorgeous. (The ceremony was waterside.) The temperature was perfect, and the sun was getting ready to set just as the ceremony was getting underway. Plus, the wedding party was just a bunch of fun; Christy and Gordon were the absolutely perfect couple to work with and photograph. They were all about the pictures, which makes our job pretty easy and even more enjoyable!!

Sneak Preview

Here is a sneak preview of a wedding we will be finishing up soon! Chris and Lindsey Mericle were married on June 30th in the beautiful First and Calvary Presbyterian Church! The couple was blessed with a gorgeous day which allowed us to go and play by the nearby fountain at Juanita K. Hammons Hall. Lindsey and Chris were such a cute couple and Lindsey looked very glam in her fantastic dress.

Bev & Brett's Wedding

Brett and Bev were just a dream to work with. I had not met either of them until we showed up for the wedding and we had an instant connection. They seemed like old friends to me, it's great when you blend so well with your clients like that! It was hard to believe they were just getting married, they seemed like they had been married for years. So comfortable and at ease throughout the whole evening. Afterwards it was great they even were e-mailing and sharing some shots taken on their honeymoon! I loved it! I know we are going to be doing family pics with them soon and I am looking forward to the session. Thanks to Brett and Bev for sharing what was a very special day.

Tiffany & Wendall's Wedding

As we'd expected, we had TONS and TONS of requests to shoot weddings on 7-7-7 (July 7th). Tiffany and Wendall was our first request, and we feel so honored that we got to do theirs. They were definitely the right wedding!! Plus, we got to go to Kansas City for it; we LOVE traveling. We'd been so excited for it, and it turned out to be such a fun day!!!

Rebecca & Chris' Wedding...

This was actually the first wedding we've ever done in Columbia... and it was so beautiful!!! Rebecca and I have actually had a running joke that I refuse to put Chris and her on the blog because they're uptight in front of the camera. Well, how about you all take a look (yes, YOU)... WE happen to think that they look absolutely amazing!!! :) Anyway, this couple gets our vote for one of the best "meeting each other" stories... Years ago, they met in HAWAII while on vacation with their families... how cool is that???
